MEASUREMENT SYSTEM FOR FAX COMMUNICATION QUALITY IN TELEPHONE NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quantitatively grasp the FAX communication quality of the speech circuits in a telephone network. SOLUTION: The FAX communication is carried out between a pair of measuring devices 13a and 13b via a telephone network 11 with the speech circuits formed between the devices 13a and 13b. Thus, the FAX communication quality is evaluated to every speech circuit. In other words, the device 13a of the originating side has a sequence control means 22 which reads a test chart out of its own test chart memory 21 and sends the chart to the device 13b of the terminating side via its own FAX communication processing part 20. Meanwhile, the device 13b has a data error measurement means 27 which measures quantitatively an error of the received test chart by comparing the test chart received from the device 13a via the part 20 with the test chart stored in its own test chart memory.
