METHOD FOR ENHANCING DATA COMPRESSION RATE OF CD PLAYER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the data compression rate to improve the performance of an audio CD(compact disk). SOLUTION: The method for enhancing the data compression rate of a CD player comprises a process 120 for judging whether a skip is detected or not, and a process 130 for setting a timer to a prescribed skip time out period when a skip is detected. This method further comprises a process 140 for judging whether other skip is detected or not during a skip time out period, a process 150 for storing data from a compact disk in a buffer memory with a prescribed compression rate when another skip is detected, and process reproducing data from the buffer memory with reproducing speed.
