Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a POS system which can easily recover a POS terminal from a fault even in the case of the occurrence of the fault. SOLUTION: POS information in each shop is inputted from a POS terminal 11. The POS system which manages POS data is constituted of a store controller 21 consisting of a personal computer or the like connected to the POS terminal by a LAN 30. The POS terminal is provided with a data save program 12a, and a master file and a data file recorded in a hard disk 12 of the POS terminal 11 are saved in a hard disk 22 of the store controller 21 through the LAN 30 at a prescribed time. Thus, even if the master file and the data file recorded in the hard disk 12 of the POS terminal 11 are destroyed by some reason, saved data can be restored from the store controller 21 through the LAN 30 by the data save program 12a.
