AUTOMATIC FORMING SYSTEM FOR SPECIMEN FOR QUALITY TEST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic forming system for quality test specimens which can automatically form specimens for use in a quality test to iron and steel products with use of one cutting machine with a high processing accuracy. SOLUTION: This system is composed of a cutting zone 11 with a cutting apparatus for iron and steel materials, a processing zone 12 with a machining center(MS) for cutting and processing the iron and steel materials and a handling apparatus 10 for transferring the iron and steel materials in each zone and between the zones. A block piece is cut out of a sample at the cutting zone, transferred to the processing zone and then cut by the MS to be reduced to a predetermined thickness. A plurality of the block pieces cut and reduced in thickness are layered, and cut by the MS to be reduced to a predetermined length. The layered body is transferred to the cutting zone and separated to three in a breadthwise direction. Further, the bodies are transferred to the processing zone and cut by the MS to be reduced to a predetermined breadth.
