Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic vortex flowmeter capable of failure compensation and obtaining a single flow value by having two sets of ultrasonic sensors. SOLUTION: A first ultrasonic sensor 110 (transmitter 111 and receiver 112) and a second ultrasonic sensor 210 (transmitter 211 and receiver 212) are positioned across the same gas flow generation area. Since flow detection by the first and second ultrasonic sensors 110, 210 (two sets of ultrasonic sensors) is carried out with respect to the same flow, flow detection values become equivalent. Therefore, two different measurement outputs which could occur with techniques of the prior art are avoided. Further, even if either of the first and second ultrasonic sensors 110, 210 fails, gas flow detection can be performed by the other ultrasonic sensor which is operating normally, and failure compensation can be maintained whereby the reliability of flow measurements can be enhanced. |
