PAINT COMPOSITION WITH LOW POLLUTION PROPERTIES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a point composition capable of realizing excellent weather resistance as well as imparting excellent low pollution properties by making a film surface layer section hydrophilic in a short time after painting. SOLUTION: The paint composition with low pollution comprises a tetraalkoxysilane and/or its partially hydrolyzed condensation product, a paint vehicle resin, and a porous polymer coating photocatalyst. By comprising the porous polymer coating photocatalyst (e.g. porous silica coating titanium dioxide), a hydrolysis of an alkoxysilyl group to a silanol group is accelerated, and weather resistance of the film is imparted because decomposition of the paint vehicle resin is far controlled compared to using untreated titanium dioxide. Further, by comprising a light screening pigment (e.g. titanium dioxide for a pigment), an UV screening effect is imparted, and decomposition of the paint vehicle resin is controlled, and the weather resistance is more and more improved.
