Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the photographic element enhanced in stability at the film manufacture and storage and capable of releasing a photographic useful group in timed manner by combining the element with a specified pyrazolone coupler. SOLUTION: This photographic element has a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer, in combination with pyrazol-5-one coupler having 4-aryloxy coupling releasable group capable of releasing a photographic useful group(PUG). This pyrazol-5-one ring has a 1-aryl substituent, and further, a 3-aryl substituent having the substituents which have the sum of Hamett's σ constants of -0.3 or higher. A 4-aryloxy coupling-releasable group has the sum of all the Hammett's σ constant of 0.4 on a phenoxy ring, and a specified group is substituted on one of an ortho and para positions to the oxygen atom for connecting the aryloxy group with the pyrazolone ring.
