BODY DETECTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body detecting device with which a human body is stably detected by avoiding influences by means of disturbance due to another heat source except the human body or an infrared-ray outdoors and avoiding disturbances, such as objects movement at fixed positions such as TVs and an electric fans and the change of illumination or the like. SOLUTION: The existence and position of a human body are detected by providing a means for executing an AND-operation between images obtained by an inter-image absolute value difference arithmetic means and an inter-image normalizing correlation arithmetic means from plural kinds of gradation image data with time division from an image pickup device, storing the plural images obtained by the operation, adding them, subjecting them to a binarizing processing, extracting feature amounts such as position of the center of gravity, area, inertial main axial angle a label data, comparatively calculating the mutual feature amounts stored by time division and detecting the movements and positions of the human body and objects other than a human being.
