FILM UNIT WITH LATCH AND LATCHING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and correctly transmit the state of one or more functions by providing a latch freely switched reversibly between a 1st state and a 2nd state. SOLUTION: The latch 16 is attached to a supporting body 12, and freely switched reversibly between an unset position 38 and a set position 40. The latch 16 is set at the set position and informed from a film unit 10 through a controller so that a photographing function set by an operator can be selectively controlled. The latch 16 is a kind of switch or a toggle device, and can be moved or changed between two or more positions. It is desirable to fix the latch 16 on the supporting body 12 or make it a mechanical device where an actuation piece 18 is translated or rotated or moved in any way with respect to a fixed base constituting one part of the latch 16. The position of the latch 16 is set so that mechanical read can be performed, desirably, it is visually confirmed from the outside of the supporting body 12 and detected by touch.
