REAR PORTION EXTENSION STRUCTURE FOR AUTOMOTIVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear portion extension structure for an automotive, which dispenses with complicated tent pitching works and removing works, is easily housed in the vehicle, can extremely easily form a closed sleeping space, the rear portion extension structure being inexpensive, extremely simple in construction, and excellent in strength, and being provided with a protruding floor, to thereby require no specific remodeling of the vehicle per se when installed. SOLUTION: The rear portion extension structure 1 of an automotive vehicle has a tent sheet 3 having one end 3a thereof attached to a rear portion opening end 2a of the vehicle, a shape retaining frame attached to a portion close to the other end 3b thereof, for retaining the shape of the tent sheet 3, and an extendible floor 5 extending from a rear opening of the vehicle, wherein the shape retaining frame can be arranged at a desired location along an extending direction thereof. Further, the rear portion extension structure 1 includes a support frame arranged on a chassis floor, an extendible frame 12d extendibly supported by the support frame, and capable of reciprocating, a plate erected on the extendible frame 12d, and a leg portion supporting the extendible frame 12d extended out of the vehicle.
