Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass bottle forming die which eliminates the need for application of a lubricant to the inside wall surfaces of a rough die (glass bottle forming die), or the like, eliminates the trouble accompanying the application work of the lubricant, stably executes the feeding of a gob to the rough die without sticking to the die body, withstands the mechanical and thermal impact at the time of feeding and supplying of the gob to the rough die and allows the complete automation of the forming in an apparatus for automatic production of the glass bottles, more particularly rough die sections. SOLUTION: The forming space 13 of a die body 31 is provided with liners 32 consisting of carbon material in the state of bringing these liners into thermal contact with the die body 31 and the inside wall surfaces 47 of the liners 32 are formed as forming surfaces by noticing that graphite and other carbon materials have self-lubricity and that the inside of the rough die 30 is provided with the liners 32 consisting of the carbon material at a prescribed thickness.
