APPLICATION OF LINING REFRACTORIES OF VESSEL FOR MOLTEN METAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for application of lining refractories of a vessel for molten metal capable of improving application efficiency and improving the service life of an applied body. SOLUTION: In the method for application of the lining refractories of the vessel for molten metal for applying the monolithic refractories on the inside surface of the vessel for molten metal by forcibly feeding the slurry-like monolithic refractories by a transporting pipe 7, incorporating an accelerator together with compressed air to the refractories from a nozzle 5 mounted at the front end of this pipe and ejecting the mixture, refractory coarse aggregate 3 having a grain size of >=5 mm and below 1/3 the bore of the transporting piping is mixed with the slurry-like monolithic refractories and the mixture is forcibly fed.
