PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time to be required for output, and to output recording material in right order of page by performing the parallel recording with plural recording means, and loading the recording material after recording on each corresponding intermediate tray, and thereafter, discharging the recording material in order of page with a carrying device. SOLUTION: In an image forming device 1, a laser beam recording means 2 and an ink jet recording means 3 are respectively provided with separate carrying passages 4, 5, intermediate trays 8, 9 and discharging passages 12, 13 so that the two recording means 2, 3 can be effectively operated in parallel in the case of the outputting the recording material P recorded by both the recording means, and the time to be required for output is thereby shortened, and the output in right order of page is enabled. In case of recording with any one of the laser beam recording means 2 and the ink jet recording means 3, the recording material is discharged without loading them on the intermediate tray, and image can be formed at the similar recording speed with the conventional way.
