Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart rigidity-adding action as in a rib connecting adjacent projections and facilitate handling, by a method in which the middles of long walls are recessed to provide fingertip recess parts and at least two insertion grooves for a transfer fork, formed by the removal of the fingertip recess parts, are provided between projections adjacent to the edges of a plate. SOLUTION: Fingertip recess parts 17 provided in the long walls 15a of storage recesses 16 are formed by almost semicircularly recessing the middles of the long walls 15a, act as ribs crossing long grooves formed along the long walls 15 on the rear faces of partition walls 15, and, therefore, greatly enhances the flexural rigidity of a pallet for food. The fingertip recess parts 17 of storage recesses adjacent to the edges of a plate 11 are removed, and parts of the long grooves formed along the long walls 15a are used as insertion grooves for inserting the transfer forks 30 of a robot transferring a pallet. The insertion grooves are formed in upper and lower sides, two in each side, the transfer fork 30 can be inserted to a sufficient depth, and, therefore, stacking capability is not impaired.
