ON-VEHICLE REWIND DRUM DEVICE FOR LONG TUBE MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the handling of drum bodies wound with long tube material by retaining them in lines on the deck of carriers, improve the work by facilitating the transfer of the long tube material to its storage position, and minimize the effect of the work on traffic. SOLUTION: This on-vehicle rewind drum device for long tube material comprises a fixed base 1 mounted on a deck F of a carrier C, a fixed drum rest 10 fixed on the fixed base 1, a sliding drum rest 20 disposed on the fixed base 1 for to-and-fro sliding movement relative to the fixed drum rest 10, and drum body supports 12 and 22 respectively placed on the fixed drum rest 10 and the sliding drum rest 20 to hold a drum body D rotatable about a horizontal axis in a vertical position as well as turnable about a vertical axis. The sliding drum rest 20 slides backward when the drum body D on the fixed drum rest 10 turns parallel to the longitudinal axis of the deck F, and slides forward when this drum body D turns to either side or into a skew position.
