Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable periphery cutting device wherein a self-traveling device is run with no problem even there exists a step part on the surface of a rubber, plastic cable. SOLUTION: A self-traveling device 3 which travels in longitudinal direction while holding a rubber, plastic cable 1 between a pair of drive rollers 2a and 2b; and a cutting device 5 wherein a cutting blade 4 is, while supported by the self-traveling device 3, rotated around the rubber, plastic cable 1 so that the periphery of it is cut and removed; are provided. The pair of drive rollers 2a and 2b of the self-traveling device 3 are provided in back and forth direction, in travelling direction, of the self-traveling device 3 while shifting relative position of rollers.
