OPTICAL RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rewritable phase transition type optical recording medium showing good characteristics concerning to improvement in erasing characteristics for overwriting and in jitter characteristics even when high- density recording and high line velocity recording are performed. SOLUTION: This optical recording medium has at least a dielectric layer, recording layer, absorption correcting layer and reflecting layer formed in this order on a substrate. The absorption correcting layer contains a compd. of at least one kind of silicon and germanium and at least one kind of titanium, zirconium, tungsten, chromium and molybdenum.
