Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a versatile vehicle speed sensor which can be post-mounted. SOLUTION: A resonator 24 is incorporated into a rim valve 23 of a tire 21 and a transmitting antenna 26 and a receiving antenna 27 are installed at a position facing the resonator 24 of a wheel housing 25. A radio wave with a medium or long wave range of about 100-500 kHz is emitted from the transmitting antenna 26 and reflected by the resonance 24 to detect the rotational speed of the tire from the intensity level of the electric field of the radio wave received by the receiving antenna 27. Post-mounting is possible on a vehicle of any type and a post-mounting type navigator or the like as requiring a vehicle speed signal can be easily mounted regardless of the type of the vehicle. |
