Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated steel pipe excellent in water resistant adhesive property with simple coating by coating the inner surface or outer surface of a surface-treated steel pipe with an ionomer resin layer through an epoxy primer layer. SOLUTION: The surface of a surface treated steel pipe 1 is coated with an ionomer resin layer 3 through an epoxy primer layer 2. In this case, the steel pipe is made of an alloy of carbon steel or the like, and surface treatment is applied to the surface of the steel pipe. For instance, the surface of the steel pipe is degreased and subjected to blasting and acid cleaning to remove scale. The epoxy primer layer 2 is then formed on the surface of the surface treated steel pipe 1 by spray-coating a mixture comprising epoxy, pigment and a hardener, on the surface of the steel pipe 1 preheated by high frequency induction heating, for instance. The outermost layer of the steel pipe 1 is then coated with ionomer resin 3 using resin formed by cross-linking molecules of an ethylene-methacrylic acid copolymer with metal ion, for instance.
