Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel polyoxyalkylene-modified silicone which is a polyoxyalkylene-block-alkylene-block-polyorganosiloxane containing polyorganosiloxy groups and polyoxyalkylene groups in a specified ratio and having a specified mol.wt. and which is useful as a gelling agent. SOLUTION: The polyoxyalkylene-block-alkylene-block-polyorganosiloxane is represented by A-X-B [wherein A is a polyorganosiloxy group of the formula; X is a 2-20C divalent alkylene; and B is a polyoxyalkylene group of -Yp-OZ (wherein Y is -OCH2CH2-, -OCH(CH3)CH2-, or -OCH2CH(CH3)-; and Z is H, 20C or lower linear or branched alkyl, or 10C or lower aryl)], the wt. ratio of A/B being (99/1)-(60/40), and has a number average mol.wt. of 500-100,000. A gel composition, which releases water moderately, can be obtained from only this polyoxyalkylene-modified silicone and water.
