Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain he subject novel compound, showing an antitumor function by suppressing growth of tumor cells. SOLUTION: This compound is shown by the formula, which belongs to Streptomyces. It is obtained by culturing a microorganism capable of producing the compound shown by the formula, e.g. Streptomyces sp. A54017, FERM P-16952 or its variant preferably at 14 to 34 deg.C and pH 4 to 8 for 24 to 168 hours, and recovering the compound from the culture system by an adequate separation method, e.g. solvent extraction and ion-exchanging with a resin. When this compound is used as an antitumor agent, it is preferably administered at 10 to 50 mg/day for an adult for oral administration, and 10 to 100 mg/day for parenteral ad ministration, preferably intravenous injection. |
