Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inexpensive and practicable inhibitor against the development of weeds in paddy field, capable of preventing the development of the weeds from the watered soil surface by the attenuation effect of the light transmitted in the water on the paddy field by adding the inhibitor to water in the paddy field hardly causing problems on safety and hygiene, and capable of stably lasting the effect over the long period by repeated addition. SOLUTION: This inhibitor against the development of weeds in paddy field is obtained by dispersing powdery activated carbon in water in the presence of a water-soluble soybean polysaccharides.
