Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent stripes from adhering to the flat ground end face of a spectacle lens when the flat ground end face is mirror-polished. SOLUTION: A spectacle lens 6 one surface of which is concave and the opposite surface of which is convex, is brought into pressure-contact with a lens edge polishing grinding wheel 320 having a lens edge polishing groove 310 formed into the shape corresponding to the lens edge, and a flat-ground polishing surface 313 to mirror-polish a flat-ground finished face 6a. The position of the spectacle lens 6 is controlled in X axis direction so that an apex-position A of the spectacle lens 6, at which the convex surface of the spectacle lens 6 intersect the end face 60, falls on a boundary position K between a flank 312 connected to the lens edge polishing groove 310 and the flat-ground polishing face 313 connected to the flank 312 while the end face is polished using the flat-ground polishing face 313 of the grinding wheel 320. |
