METHOD AND DEVICE FOR INSPECTING INSULATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a insulation inspecting device, capable of accurately inspecting insulation between a pair of positive and negative electrode bodies in a battery structure body, and surely eliminating an insulation defective product. SOLUTION: This insulation inspecting device has an insulation resistance tester 3 for measuring insulation resistance between a pair of positive and negative electrode bodies 1, 2, in a battery structure body through first and second contacts 4, 5 connected to the electrode bodies 1, 2, and first and second auxiliary contacts 8, 9 connected to parts of the respective electrodes 1, 2 different from the parts connected with the first and second contacts 4, 5, and connected inspecting devices 6, 7 for carrying electricity to the first and second contacts 4, 5 through the first and second auxiliary contacts 8, 9 to inspect electrical connection states of the first and second contacts 4, 5 to the respective electrode bodies 1, 2. When the connection inspecting devices 6, 7 confirm the electrical connection, the connection inspection devices 6, 7 permit the operation of the insulation resistance tester 3. Thereby, false decisions caused by surface states of the contacts 4, 5 are prevented.
