IMAGE SUPEIRVISORY SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the image supervisory system where a supervisory work by a supervisor can be facilitated and a problem of outward appearance or space is not caused by a cable interconnecting cameras. SOLUTION: Each image compression section 15 of image pickup devices CA-CD generates not only an I frame by inplane coding and P and B frames by interframe coding, and a transmission image processing section 18 outputs an image signal configured only with the I frame in the normal state. However, in the case that a motion change of a prescribed level or over is detected in image data received from an image pickup device, the transmission image processing section 18 outputs an image signal configured not only the I frame but also the P and B frames to a transmission section 20. Thus, a supervisory personnel can see a continuously smooth image different from an intermittent image consisting of frame feed from that in the usual state and from a conventional device.
