MANUFACTURE OF STABILIZER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily attain the strength of a joint part between an anti-roll bar and an arm and dispense with heat treatment after the jointing by forcedly fitting both ends of the bar into a hole formed in the arm. SOLUTION: A flange 4 for positioning the fitting position of an arm as well as a fitting part 3 to the arm 2 are formed at both ends of an anti-roll bar 1. The arm 2 is provided at its one end with a hole into which the fitting part 3 is fitted. Such the bar 1 and the arm 2 are formed by forging and indivisually heated to secure their strengths. The parts 3 at opposed ends of the bar 1 are pressure fitted into the hole 5. With the constitution where the parts at both the ends of the bar 1 are fitted into the hole 5 of the arm 2, no connection error liable to occur in the case of welding or the like occurs, thereby ensuring the reliability in the strength of connection. Also, since they are separately heat treated before they are combined for securing the strengths, the heat treatment after the connection is not necessary.
