Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a micro-porous molded body which has excellent heat insulation property, can be manufactured with ease and at a low cost, stores a monolith in a catalyst case and fix the monolith. SOLUTION: A micro-porous molded body includes corpuscular metallic oxides of 60-95 mass %, fiber of 0.5-10 mass %, which is not detrimental to human health, opalizer of 0-35 mass %, organic fiber of 0-10 mass %, and refractory material of 0-30 mass % expanding at temperature of over 300 deg.C. In the case of not taking account refractory material, it has a density of 100-240 kg/m3 and compression strain of at least 96% of the initial thickness directly before removing pressure by a pressure of 1 bar for five minutes, and the compression strain is reduced by over 70% of the initial value after there is the lapse of one minute after removing the pressure. |
