PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cloth and clothes that have the antimicrobial effect to inhibit the infestation of bacteria or the like, while retaining the high odor- absorbing effect and far-infrared ray radiation of the activated carbon fiber. SOLUTION: The objective cloth 10 is produced buy depositing copper 15 on one face of the woven fabric that are made of weaving yarns 13 comprising activated carbon fibers and activated carbon fibers. The other face of the cloth 10 on which the copper is not deposited is allowed to face to the body of the wearer to manifest the odor absorption effect by the carbon fibers and to electrically connect the carbon to the copper via the moisture of the sweat from the body by the difference in the ionization tendency between carbon and copper whereby the ionization tendency of the copper ion is promoted by the same effect as the dissimilar metallic bond effect to give the strong sterilization effect and simultaneously increase the radiation efficiency of far-infrared rays.
