DEFLECTING YOKE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide with a simple means a deflecting yoke capable of forming a horizontal deflecting magnetic field in tendency magnetic field distribution, capable of pin magnetic field, while improving the deflecting efficiency of the deflecting yoke. SOLUTION: A magnetic core 1 is formed with sides A1, a1, A2, a2,..., A(N-1), a(N-1), AN, aN and B1, b1, B2, b2,..., B(N-1), b(N-1) in a cross section of the magnetic core 1 cut in a vertical surface with respect to the X-axis being parallel with each other at any one of upper and lower parts and any one of right and left parts or at opposite sides in the upper and lower, the right and left sides, and the sides A1, a1, A2, a2,..., A(N-1), a(N-1), AN, aN are formed at nearly right angles with respect to a center O of the cross section of the magnetic material core 1, and the coil part of at least one pair of vertical deflecting coils is housed in plural grooves C1, c1, C2, c2,..., C(N-1), c(N-1) (N is an integer lager than or equal to 2).
