SOLUTION: A control circuit 22 to control a paper cutting device is actuated by a relatively low voltage, that is 5 V, for example, outputted from a power source unit. A boosting circuit 23 boosts the output voltage of the power source unit to a voltage, that is 12 V, for example, capable of driving a motor 25. A drive control circuit 24 supplies the output of the boosting circuit to the motor 25 based on an operation command outputted from a control circuit. As the motor 25 is rotated, a cutter moves up and down to cut paper. In this paper cutting device, therefore, a motor driving power source unit can be omitted. By thickening coil winding of the motor 25 to set the motor 25 itself to have a low impedance, the boosting circuit 23 may be omitted. |
