SOLUTION: This new manganese peroxidase P.s-mnp1 gene, which is derived from Phanerochaete sordida, has the base sequence shown by the formula, and can be used for producing a manganese peroxidase which plays an important role in the degradation of lignin in a white-rot fungus and so on, is obtained by isolating mRNA from P. sordida strain YK-624 (ATCC 90872) by the conventional method, constructing a cDNA library using the obtained mRNA, followed by cloning the obtained library by the PCR using primers consisting of regions which are highly conserved among peroxidases derive from white-rot fungi and so on. |
