MESSAGE PROCESSING UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a message processing unit, where the location for entry operation and display confirmation is not limited and moreover it is not required to provide an information storage section in duplicate. SOLUTION: An information processing section 11, a communication control section 12, a communication data conversion circuit 13 and an information storage section 14 are contained in a device main body 1. An information entry section 3 and a display section 32 are contained in an operation display section 3 which is configured removably from the device main body 1. The device main body 1 and the operation display section 3 are respectively provided with contacts 15, 53, that are used to communicate between them when the display section is mounted on the main body 1, radio sections 16, 34 to communicate information when they are separated, and removed detection sections 17, 35 that detect the removed state and switches which of the contacts 15, 33 or the radio sections 16, 34 are to be used as information transmission path.
