Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallized film capacitor having a safety mechanism with which the capacitor can be safely used at high temperatures. SOLUTION: In this metallized film capacitor, having an illustrated safety mechanism, first and second metallized films 1 and 2 each having electrodes deposited thereon are sequentially stacked and wound to form a capacitor element, and a metallikon part is formed at both sides of the capacitor element. The difference in shrinkage factor between the first and second metallized films 1 and 2 in a TD direction is set to be 1% or more. In this case, the TD direction refers to the width direction of the films.
