SOLID CARTRIDGE DETERGENT FOR AUTOMATIC WASHING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a solid cartridge detergent for an automatic washing machine useful for an automatic washing machine for cleaning the hard surface of tableware, food cans, bottles, containers, a tray, or the like. SOLUTION: This solid cartridge detergent for an automatic washing machine is obtained by holding a detergent composition composed of a slurry having a uniform fluidity comprising at least (a) an alkali metal silicate, (b) a metal ion sequestering agent and (c) water in a container having an open mouth and, in cooling and solidifying the composition, adding >=0.1 wt.%, based on the whole amount of the detergent composition, of particles of alkali metal metasilicate having crystal water so as to hydrate and solidify the whole composition in a short time. The composition is simply produced. The whole composition can be hydrated and solidified by a simple operation in a short time. The composition is safely handled, can prevent the corrosion of glass, aluminum product, or the like, and materials to be cleaned can be washed without selection.
