Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a compression magnification of an ink-absorbing body from differing much depending on locations to make an ink concentration ununiformed to produce an adversely influence on a discharge performance when the ink-absorbing body is stored by compression forming the ink-absorbing body by a heat press before incorporating the ink-absorbing body in an ink cartridge. SOLUTION: An ink-absorbing body 12 is formed of ether-based polyurethane foam. The ether-based polyurethane foam having approximately 60-85 cells/inch and a density of 80 kg/m2±10 is compression molded to a 1/3 volume by a heat press beforehand. The molded body is cut slightly larger in accordance with a size of ink chambers 15B, 15Y, 15M and 15C and a waste ink chamber 16 to produce the ink-absorbing body 12. Accordingly the ink-absorbing body 12 has highly densified high-density parts 12a at the side of both ends in a direction of the heat press. There is almost no need for compressing the ink- absorbing member when storing the ink-absorbing member into an ink chamber 15 or the like, a storage work is accordingly relatively easy and generation of twists and twines, etc. is not produced. |
