CLEANER FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC DEVICE AND ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaner for electrophotographic device which obviates the need for a handle for every unit and achieves reductions in size and weight, and an electrophotographic device whose structure is simplified by employment of the cleaner. SOLUTION: In the cleaning unit 10, in order to bring a brush roller 2 into contact with the surface of an intermediate transfer belt 6 and separate it therefrom, the entire unit can turn only a specific angle around the shaft 5a of a carrying screw 5. The shaft 5a of the carrying screw 5 is supported by a support plate 7 provided for the intermediate transfer belt 6. The housing 1 of the cleaning unit 10 is provided with handles 8 and 9, one being on its one side-face and the other being on its other side-face in the direction where the brush roller 2 is brought into contact with the surface of the intermediate transfer belt 6 and separated therefrom. The handles 8 and 9 have a form of recess groove so that an operator can grasp and hold them by hand.
