Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle runaway prevention device capable of surely preventing the runaway of a truck traveling on a rail having a gradient, when an engine to which the truck connects is not connected to the truck, without requiring trouble during the work of changing the connections of the truck, by detecting the connected condition of the engine and the truck. SOLUTION: A pair of magnets 81a, 81b are installed in predetermined positions on a rail 3 with a predetermined distance L1 between the magnets, and magnetic sensors 82a, 82b for detecting the pair of magnets 81a, 81b installed on a rail 1 are disposed, respectively, on an engine 4 and a truck 6 connected to the engine 4, at positions where the magnetic sensors 82a, 82b detect the magnets 81a, 81b at the same time under a condition in which the engine 4 is connected to the truck 6.
