Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter for radiotherapy and the catheter assembly for radiotherapy capable of precisely applying radioactive rays to a target tissue, suppressing adverse effects on a human body such as a radiation hazard, and improving the effect of the treatment. SOLUTION: This catheter 1 for radiotherapy is to be inserted into a lumen for radiotherapy. The catheter 1 has the catheter body 10 to be guided by a guide wire 8 into a lumen, a lumen 2 for a radiation wire which is installed inside the catheter body 10 and into which a radiation wire 7 with a radiation source 6 can be inserted, radiation source detecting means 5a, 5b to detect the position of the radiation source 6, and a guide wire lumen 4 into which the guide wire 8 can be inserted. It is preferable that the radiation wire 7 to be used for the catheter assembly 100 for radiotherapy has marker 61 for indicating the position of the radiation source 6.
