WORK BACKUP DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with a plurality of kinds of works, and at the same time to prevent a backup pin from being falsely placed. SOLUTION: A work backup device 1 is provided with a pedestal 2 that has a horizontal upper surface 3a, a plurality of guide plates 5 that are prepared, one for each of a plurality of kinds of works where backup positions differ one another and are placed on the upper surface of the pedestal, and a plurality of backup pins 6. The pedestal receives the backup pin in an axial direction, and at the same time has a plurality of pin insertion holes 5a for vertically supporting the backup pin while the backup pin projects at a specific height from the upper surface of the pedestal. Each guide plate is formed so that a pin insertion hole at the backup place of the corresponding work is opened and other pin insertion holes are covered, and the backup pin is inserted into the opened pin insertion hole for placement while any one of the plurality of guide plates is placed on the upper surface of the pedestal.
