PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a color photographic material enhanced in light stability and, at the same time, heat stability by incorporating specified compounds in a silver halide emulsion layer spectrally sensitized in a red wavelength region. SOLUTION: At least one of the silver halide emulsion layer spectrally sensitized in a red wavelength region contains at least one of the compounds represented by formula I and at least one of the compounds represented by formula II and in formulae I and II, each of R11 and R12 is, independently, an electron withdrawing group; X11 is H atom or a group releasable by reaction with the oxidation product of a developing agent; Y11 is H atom or a group for completing an N-containing hetero ring, but R12 is combined with the carbon atom of the hetero rings; (n) is, independently, 1 or 2; R21 is an alkyl or alkenyl group or the like; R22 is hydroxy or the same as R21; (m) is 1 or 2; and (o) is 0-5.
