Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress accompanying of water droplets to an exhaust gas while cooling efficiency is raised in an exhaust gas cooler for water-cooling the exhaust gas for a waste combustion treatment apparatus by providing a water jetting nozzle for jetting water into a cooling column. SOLUTION: An exhaust gas introduction part 42 for introducing an exhaust gas into a cooling tower 40 is provided in a lower part of the cooling tower 40 and an exhaust gas discharge part 44 for discharging the exhaust gas after cooling to a flue 9 is provided in a top part of the tower 40 so that the flow of the exhaust gas is directed upward. The exhaust gas introduction part 42 is preferred to be constituted in such a manner as to introduce the exhaust gas downward in the column and more preferably a water jet nozzle 45 is constituted so as to jet water upward.
