Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce microcapsules with controlled sustained-release properties by subjecting a polybasic acid halide and a polyvalent active hydrogen compd. to interfacial polymn. in the presence of an alkaline phosphate. SOLUTION: In producing microcapsules suitable for an aromatic, the particle size control of emulsion is carried out by adding and stirring a core substance contg. a polybasic halide dissolved therein into an aq. soln. of a water-soluble polymeric substance. Then, after a crosslinker for crosslinking the water-soluble polymeric substance is added to form a crosslinked film, a polyvalent active hydrogen compd. is added together with an alkaline phosphate (e.g. sodium phosphate, aluminum phosphate, or potassium phosphate) to cause interfacial polymn. Thus, the sustained-release properties of the resultant microcapsules can be controlled well, and the core substance is enabled to be released slowly over a long term.
