Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an insertion operation by a small operation force, and make an operater easily perform an examination. SOLUTION: On the external surface of an insertion portion 2 of an endoscope, an advance/retraction index 75 and a rotation index 76 are displayed as an advance /retraction-rotation identification means, and at the same time, on an operation member 11 which is longitudinally movably and rotatably arranged on the insertion portion 2, an element to detect the advance/retraction index 75 and the rotation index 76, is provided. Then, an insertion device 12 which detects an advance/retration-rotation amount to the insertion portion 2, and advances/retracts and rotates the insertion portion 2 of the endoscope based on a detection signal of the detection means, is provided.
