DUST COLLECTING BAG FOR ELECTRIC VACUUM CLEANER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively use the space in a dust chamber, and the filtering surface of a duct bag for a universal type dust bag which can be attached either in the vertical direction or the lateral direction in response to the dust chamber of various types of electric vacuum cleaners. SOLUTION: An air-permeable filter medium is formed into a laterally long cylindrical shape, and on both sides in the lateral direction, bellows portions 2 and 3 are formed, and a terminal sealed portion 4 is formed by winding open end edges on both sides in the longitudinal direction, and at an approx. central location in the longitudinal direction, a suction port is formed for a bag main body 6, and such a bag main body 6 and a supporting plate 7 for which a suction port is provided on a plate material having rigidity, are stuck in such a manner that respective suction ports are made to meet. Then, one edge 11 of the supporting plate 7 is projected from one side in the width direction of the bag main body 6, and the center of the suction port 5 is shifted from the center in the width direction on the front face of the bag main body 6 to the side where the supporting plate 7 is projected, and the gusset width of the bellows portion 3 on the side where the supporting plate 7 is projected, is set wider than the gusset width of the bellows portion 2 on the other side.
