Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection display device capable of realizing video display by back projection to a transmission type diffusion screen, and capable of realizing projection on a screen larger than the diffusion screen, for example. SOLUTION: A total reflection mirror 6 is turnably provided by a horizontal shaft 3 provided along the upper side part of the mirror 6. The mirror surface of the mirror 6 is positioned away from the projection display device 5 and faces the back surface side of the projection display device in a condition where the mirror 6 is turned and raised. Video light projected from the device 5 is guided to a screen 4 arranged on the back surface side of the projection display device by the mirror 6. That is, the device is the front surface projection type projection display device and a video is displayed on the screen 4 larger than the screen 1.
