SOLUTION: Provided is a light-emitting luminescent material 18 containing an alkali halide and used in an alternating current thin film electroluminescent device 10, wherein the alkali is selected from the group consisting of lithium, sodium, potassium, rubidium, and cesium, and the halogen is selected from the group consisting of fluorine, chlorine, bromine, and iodine.
