Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent a user other than legal ones from pretending to be a legal user by comparing the data on the physical features of an applicant of application with the data on the physical features of a previously registered legal user to authenticate the applicant and judging the propriety of application of an automatic fare collection system for the applicant. SOLUTION: A reading means 1f can read physical features, e.g. fingerprint, etc., of an applicant who wants to use an automatic fare collection system (ETC system) A as the computer readable data. A sensor is connected to the means 1f. Thus, the means 1f reads the physical features of the applicant via the sensor as the computer readable data. Also, two types of means 1f are available, that is, a single-function means 1f can read only the fingerprints, for example, and a multifunction means 1f can read plural physical features including fingerprints, voiceprints, etc. For instance, the fingerprints, voiceprints, iris spots, retinal spots, face outlines, etc., are included in the physical features of applicants.
