PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the daylighting property of a kitchen and to brighten the atmosphere by arranging a courtyard at the center of a building adjacently to the kitchen arranged on the north side of the building. SOLUTION: A living room 9 arranged in the front of a vestibule hall 7a is provided with a large opening on the south to secure sufficient daylighting, a courtyard 14 is arranged on the north side, and a glass window is provided on the side of the living room 9 to secure daylighting. A kitchen 15 is arranged next to the living room 9 on the east side of the courtyard 14, a wall face is formed between the courtyard 14 and the kitchen 15, and an awning for daylighting is provided on this wall face. The light from the courtyard 14 is collected into the kitchen 15, and the bright atmosphere can be formed.
