RECEIVING OF SLIVER AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for receiving a sliver, making it to simply load and carry the coiling accumulation product of the sliver on the bottom plate of a can. SOLUTION: This method for receiving a sliver comprises longitudinally and latitudinally continuously moving a square can 40 below a rotated coiler plate 7 to coil the sliver on the inside surface of the bottom plate 48 of the square can 40 so that the accumulated sliver self-stands. When the can is filled with the sliver, the bottom plate 48 is raised at a prescribed distance to compress the accumulated sliver 100. The opening frame of the can is then laterally opened, and an empty case bottom plate 48 is supplied onto a raising plate 52 from the back side of the frame. Thus, the filled case bottom plate 48 placed in the can is discharged together with the accumulated sliver to a discharge position P2. The accumulated sliver 100 has an approximately cubic shape and self-stands on the can bottom plate 48. Thereby, the accumulated sliver 100 can be carried together with the can bottom plate 48 to the next process without requiring any auxiliary tool for preventing the accumulated sliver from falling.
