Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of power conversion in a snubber circuit that is used for a switching power supply. SOLUTION: A normal snubber circuit is constituted of a series circuit comprising a diode 41 and a capacitor 42 which is connected parallel to the primary windings 34a of a transformer 34, so that surge energy generated by leakage inductance when a switching element 35 is turned off can be absorbed with a capacitor 42 by the current loop shown with an arrow mark 11. To this normal snubber circuit, auxiliary windings 34c and a diode 43 are added that form the current loop shown with an arrow mark 12 when the switch element 35 is turned on. As a result, the energy which had been absorbed when turned off is converted to the exciting energy of the transformer 34 when turned on, and regenerated to the secondary side. Not only can noise be controlled but also the efficiency of power conversion can be improved with this structure.
